Welcome September
Welcoming the Shift: Football, Fall Colors, and Fresh Starts in the PNW
September brings a crisp morning breeze and an energetic shift across Washington. As sweater weather kicks in, Friday night lights return, football takes center stage, and back-to-school routines bring a fresh rhythm to our neighborhoods. There is a uniquely cozy magic to autumn in the Pacific Northwest, from changing canopy drives to gathering indoors after a cool afternoon outside.
This seasonal pivot also brings a motivated wave to local real estate. Fall buyers are actively searching for places to settle before the holidays, prioritizing warm, functional spaces. For sellers, highlighting autumn curb appeal and inviting interiors helps properties stand out memorably.
Let’s make this season of new beginnings work for you. Whether you want to position your property for autumn buyers or secure your own sanctuary in time for kickoff, I am here to navigate the market alongside you.

Buyers May Have More Homes to Choose From This Fall |
| | |
|
| |
Inventory is inching higher as demand slows. There are now about 1.1 million homes on the market, 1.4% above last year. That fits the housing market rule of thumb: when rates rise, inventory rises. We are seeing a real but gradual demand slowdown. Sales are softer, inventory is rising slightly, and price reductions are moving higher, but home prices remain stable for now. |
